Laurie Evans has made quite the name for himself around T20 cricket with his blistering stroke play and elegance. Evans was born in Lambeth, London on October 12th 1987, and first made his mark on the cricketing world through county cricket where he represented Surrey. Post that he made a mark in various T20 leagues around the world and continues to grow as a performer in the T20 circuit.
Laurie’s power at the top of the order combined with his elegant stroke play makes him one to watch out for. His natural attacking instincts helps him in the powerplay as he takes the attack head on and looks to score as many runs as possible. Evans is a batter who plays both pace and spin extremely well. Especially against spin-bowling, he uses his feet effectively and hence proves to be an asset not just at the start of the innings but also in the middle overs. Laurie has made himself a complete T20 package as he has performed well at every junction of the format across various tournaments.
Evans’ addition to the ADKR squad for ILT20 2024, strengthens the batting unit substantially and adds more versatility to the unit. Laurie will be playing in the ILT20 for the first time and will be looking to leave his impact on the tournament immediately. He will also be looking forward to replicating his performances in other leagues and become a consistent contributor to the victories for the team.
